What happens when two great neighborhood organizations work together? That’s what the Friendship Circle of Crown Heights and the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushkah Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights set to find out when they combined forces to run the 2011 NYC ING Marathon on November 6th.

The runners ran under the name Team FCBC – Run for Crown Heights and included Noami Aharon, Shmuel Cohen, Sarah Harrouch, Malka Perelman, Aaron Popack, Miralle Schildkrat-Mazuz, Mushkah Schneider, Yehudis Silverman, Mandy Storfer, and Chaya Wolf, coached by local physical therapist Chaim Backman of trichai.com – running a total of 262 miles to raise funds for these two very worthy organizations.

Crown Heights Central would like offer a hearty congratulations to the runners of Team FCBC, Friendship Circle, Bikur Cholim and everyone involved who made this heartwarming initiative happen.
